Gray Connective Goes Green
With Palmer Township
Plans to Erect Solar Energy Source at Charles Chrin Community
Center in Spring 2009
Gray Connective is working with Palmer Township to design and install
a 9-foot, three-panel solar array starting this spring, which will
provide power for the township center and educate residents about
solar energy. “It’s a way to educate people in
the township about alternative energy,” supervisor Chairman
David Colver said. “We want to take an active role in energy
savings, and this is sort of a first step for us.” Lifelong
Palmer resident Kevin Gray, owner of Gray Connective, offered to
pay for the majority of the $10,000 community center project. Supervisors
agreed to contribute $3,500 of taxpayer money, though they hope
to cover costs with a state or federal grant.
Solar energy represents a turning point for the future. While
it currently requires a significant initial investment, the savings
realized both short and long term make a notable impact on your
bottom line and sustainability of our environment.
